Scotland's People
Very busy day today when we took the bus through to Edinburgh to pay our second visit to Scotland's People, the family records division of Scotland. The photos are of the dome and bookshelves in (what else?) the Dome Room. This is not the room with the banks of computers, but the one you pass through on the way in.
It was quite a frustrating session for both my husband and myself, as we struggled to find ancestors just three generations back. It would seem that many of his came over from Ireland and some of mine moved north from England, so we'll have to look elsewhere!
We stayed in town for a delicious Italian meal before catching the bus home, but the journey home was a nightmare. I had a Polish girl behind me who talked very loudly non-stop into her phone for an hour and a half. She should have been hoarse, but it was only our arrival in Perth that shut her up. I wish they'd ban phones on all transport, unless you are texting:-)
Sitting in blissful silence now at my computer and hope to catch up with you all soon.
