I had a few minutes to spare while I waited for WRPerry to pick me up for the airport for our flight to Florida, so I thought it might be wise to get a shot of something in the backyard to blip since I knew much of the day would be spent traveling.  This was the first time I have ever seen this kind of bird in my backyard and when I went to my references to identify it, I struck out.  

We are in Gainesville now, and we have just had a very fun evening with our Band of Blippers. DBifulco quickly identified my bird as an immature male red winged blackbird. So there you have it.
