Fringe...

And so it begins again! I did quite a lot in the festival last year so when Gem asked if she could come and stay for a week I decided to take some time off work and do it again. Sarah is jumping on the bandwagon and coming too. It's funny, when you live in a city that hosts one of the best festivals ever, you're never short of people to do stuff with when it's on.

However, sometimes it exhausts me trying to think of things to do and buying tickets and choosing shows, there's so much to choose from, that in itself is a task and a half. So today I thought I'd best make a start and picked up one of the free fringe guides from the book shop. I emailed Gem to see what she wanted to see... I received this response:

I have a plan, which is, as yet, not being shared. But it will be. Eventually. :) Although I'll have to spill soon enough as I'll need the dosh off you and Sarah!

Oh, OK. I've just read that back and I can almost see you tut*. I was planning on scheduling a week's worth of fun, touristy shite and shows. You'll have an envelope to open for each day and we'll do what is in the envelope. :) Nothing too crass and a mixture of culture, Edinburgh and Fringe. :) And we may eat at some point too. The finer points of scoffing haven't quite been considered just yet. But they will be. It's going to be exhausting! :) *squeal* Excited! So any suggestions or requests; get them in now.

I am ridiculously excited by this! What an awesome thing to do? No stress for me, no worrying that I might choose something crap, I just have to get out of bed in the mornings and go where I'm told and it'll all be a surprise!! Loving it!!

I was going to blip the fringe book but as I walked home I passed the Assembly Rooms and it appears they are open for business and indeed hosting a fancy do tonight with people entering in their finery. I stood opposite and attempted to blip the whole building but there was some random jakey loitering right outside so you can have the top with our blue sky!

I wonder if this counts as creative?! *rolls eyes*
