Sunspot group AR2529 has apparently been carried across the face of the Sun. Due of course to the Sun's rotation. As it is a gaseous body the equatorial regions spin faster than the polar regions and it is this differential rotation that plays havoc with the Sun's magnetic field and ultimately gives rise to sunspots.
