Salford Quays

KryptoMart and I are in Salford Quays and Manchester this weekend.

Salford Quays, is very modern with Media City at its centre. Had a good wander round taking in the Imperial War Museum North, the Lowry as well the BBC and ITV media centres, even got to see the Blue Peter Garden including the iconic sculpture of Petra (you have to be of a certain age!). Here is the view from the bridge over the River Irwell looking towards the Imperial War Museum North and Salford.

Also, ended up walking amongst the footie crowds heading to Old Trafford ... Man U beat Aston Villa 2, 1.

A lovely relaxing day after a busy few weeks. Will go to the Arndale Centre tomorrow and some other Manchester sites.

In excess of 25,000 steps walked today (over 10 miles).
