East Devon Hills
I joined our local walking group this morning for a 9 mile walk around Farway. It was an enjoyable walked with mixed weather, we were hailed on when we sat down for lunch, but we mainly stayed dry and the sun came out for brief interludes. We walked through woods covered in bluebells, saw hedges lined with primroses and even saw our first orchid, the Early Purple Orchid, Orchis mascula, see extras. Some withered looking cone like fruiting structures of the Horsetail (Equisetum) plant caught also our attention.
There were some lovely views of the surrounding hills - this blip being one of them.
