Special People

It’s been an excellent day. First, it was Oliver playing football in the under 8s (7 a side), then after lunch down to see my Auntie Joyce with Rhonda. In the evening my other daughter, Sara, came over and we all went out for a curry.
 
Today’s blip is my wonderful Aunt. Sometimes it’s hard to quantify the important people in your life in that generation above, they’re frequently taken for granted. Joyce stands out for me, as a touchstone through the years, one that has frequently been able to make a big difference with just a few words.
 

This sounds almost like an obituary but no, she’s 90, bright as a button and lovely to see her. Here's to the special people in our lives and let's all pay more attention to them.
