Horton Bridge (Saturday 16th April 2016)

I called in at half a dozen places during this afternoon, including this spot on the K&A that is the nearest to my home, about six miles away. I turned back after a short while as the towpath was very muddy and slippery. It was an afternoon of short walks, shopping and visiting. Another later stop was at Devizes Wharf, where I took the shot in Extras.

Dusty Springfield - I Don`t Want To Go On Without You (broadcast 8 September 1966 on the TV show Dusty)
Dusty Springfield was born on this day in 1939 in West Hampstead and I've just been watching a compilation of her performances on BBC4. I don't think she recorded this tune, a big hit here for the Moody Blues, but Dusty goes back to the original by the Drifters for her interpretation, a highlight of the programme and featuring her backing singers Madeline Bell, Lesley Duncan and Barbara Moore.
