inspired by my Aunt's hussif

Aunty Marion, my Mother's sister made this when she was training at a Domestic Science college. Bee Nilson, the famous cookery writer, was one of her lecturers. Her 'Penguin Cookery Book' has been the family recipe bible for years.

After her training, my Aunt went to work at the Admiralty where she met Uncle Norman. I remember her as a very bubbly person with a wonderful mop of auburn hair.

I guess this little treasure must be at least 75 years old. It gives me great pleasure just to unwind it and enjoy the embroidery.
