Rosebery

These stairs take the River South Esk onwards to join up with River North and to the Forth. I remember reading about the influx of workers in the late 1800s to build several reservoirs in Midlothian and I think, the subsequent problems for them after the work dried up! Occasionally we see these stairs dry up!
