A new tree

I wanted a little tree  to keep in a pot in the back garden - was hoping to get a eucalyptus but no-one seems to have one. Then today I saw this - from the same continent, anyway!
Officially called a Callistemon laevis, more often called a Bottlebrush Tree - saw loads of them in Australia when I was there 15years ago.
Pixie wanted to look too but didn't put her paws on it, just stood on her hind legs. Close up of the blooms as an extra.
