Start spreading the news...

...I'm leaving today.

Up at silly o'clock (3:45) to catch our flight to New York, we were flying via Dublin with Aer Lingus and I can safely say what a wonderful experience it was flying with them. The big thing is you can clear American customs in Ireland so the other end we just went straight to baggage collection.

Saw some good sights on the flight to Ireleand including Cannock chase (a place I like to mtb over) (Extra) and the Isle of Man which was covered in cloud as always when the sky was blue everywhere else.

The views the other end of the pond weren't great as we flew into JFK and didn't get anywhere near Manhattan, we went straight to the Fairfield Hotel to drop off the bags before getting a taxi to the shopping mall to get a few items we didn't all bring out with us.

As you can see it's a gorgeous sunny day to start our holiday with the temperature at 25 degrees.

A quick meal and a few drinks were consumed before an early night as we were all really tired. Tomorrow we board the ship, so once we are all on we can properly relax.
