Determination!

I watched these two gulls on the pond in Maxwell Park.  There was obviously something in the water and one of the gulls was determined to bring it to the surface. He dived, splashed and stabbed at the water while his pal looked on.  Eventually his perseverance paid off but what came to the surface was what you can see in the extra photo ..... why are people so thoughtless.
