First Bass

Upon entering the stadium this afternoon to see the Hammerheads play Montreal in an USL match, I walked alongside a group of string players.  I asked the violinist if they were going to be playing Mozart today.  She replied, "no, just the national anthem".  Seeing a string orchestra play at a sporting event was a first for me.

Tonight I saw the author, humorist, comedian, radio commentator, David Sederis speak at our local university..  He announced that his $20,000 performance fee was being donated to "Equality North Carolina" to help fight HB2.
