An environmental mess...

... this was, until recently, a busy transport café in a layby.

Thieves broke in to it early on a Sunday morning, stole the fridge and its contents before setting fire to it.

Their vehicle passed the owner as he arrived to open up the café. He found the fire and alerted the police, who tracked the thieves by automatic number plate recognition and found the car at the registered address. The culprits still had the fridge! They are no doubt due a court appearance.
