proud

not the best day i've ever had but this little boy raced in his first BMX race today and did himself (and his fans) so proud.

firstly, by getting the whole way round by himself in the first lap (he'd not really done that before without a bit of a shove on the big jumps).

secondly by picking himself up after a big crash and bump to the head after a flying start in the final, to get back on his bike and finish - all alone on the track, with the whole crowd cheering him on....well, that deserved a medal, don't you think?
