The Böögg

So today Zurich celebrated Sächsilüüte. There is a large parade of the guilds, with the event finishing with the burning of the Böögg, a giant snowman, atop a pyre which is set alight and explosives within the Böögg ensure he explodes with a bang. The longer it takes, the worse summer will be.
Well today it poured all day and it took about 45 minutes for the Böögg to be fully destroyed. That does not bode well for a good summer!

Despite the rain, the crowds turned out and although everyone would have been soaked after hours in the rain, it was a great experience to view.
