A blue morning

I popped down to the beach this morning prior to all the tree moving exercises taking place on our property today.  The sky and sea were a wonderful shade of blue and the sea was so calm.  A lovely morning.

Then back to ensure that the removing of an oak tree from the rear garden, to be replaced by a pear, and the removal of a silver birch and magnolia from the front garden, take place as expected.  The trees sound rather nice except that the gardens are not very big and as a group we (the local residents affected) have complained to the developer.  They came back telling us what we had to have in our garden and that the variation had already gone through the planning process.  This was after asking us what we wanted and then ignoring it.  Not good that people can discuss what trees you have in your garden and not inform you until after the event.  Still the good news is that we only have to maintain them for five years.

It was a bit of a palaver though with my husband having to dig out the root ball because they couldn't get a digger in to do that work and intended planting it right adjacent to the fence.
