A newt in the hand is worth .....

Quite a productive day, in a gentle way.  

We've created Google calendars and shared them, so we each know what the other is doing!  I've done some weeding.

And we cleared more blanket weed out of the pond - this time I was prepared with a camera.  Last time we cleared blanket weed, we caught several newts.  We were beginning to despair of finding a newt this time - either the newts have got more canny, or there are fewer of them (I'm told they only go into the water to breed, otherwise they are mainly land based, so perhaps they have finished breeding).  But eventually we did find one.  It wasn't very keen to pose.
