Trunk

Hard to believe that this used to be the main A82 Glasgow-Inverness trunk road.

I remember how congested the road could get, especially when 2 caravans, coaches or lorries slowed almost to a stop to pass each other [still a couple of points further north where that still happens].
After the new road was built, I guess almost about 30 years go now, this section of the road was incorporated into the West Loch Lomond Cycle Path, and is now a popular viewpoint and picnic spot.
The vegetation is slowly reclaiming the tarmac, encroaching in at each side.
