So, it's entirely possible that I have seen The Wizard of Oz one too many times but those lyrics rushed to mind when I saw this carpet of perky yellow dandelions along the roadside today.
When I was a young girl, the annual airing of Oz on tv was a huge deal for American children and we all looked forward to the special treat of viewing this classic film with our families and friends.
Likewise (for me anyway), the annual appearance of the sunny yellow dandelion every Spring is a sure sign that we have turned the corner away from Winter and can look happily forward to the many warm Summer days to come.
