Positives

A day of positives. Too many to mention, really.

A couple of firsts as well.

The first time this year I've cycled to the railway station. At 8:20 the frost had only just lifted, but a beautiful morning. 1.5 km downhill all the way, so it blows the cobwebs away nicely. Freeze dries the wedding tackle too, of course.

The first time I've been to the launch event for a political manifesto. Interesting. More interesting is seeing the press comment afterwards, having seen the event for yourself.

For example the STV report mentioned "a few empty seats". They overlooked the 1,400 occupied ones. The Daily Heil Mail's political editor commented on the front of the printed manifesto having the party leader's photo all over the cover, but not the party's name. Well, I have a copy. I can assure you he is... needing new spectacles.

Then on to a working lunch with a client.

The bank after that. A client paid me with a cheque! Non British Blippers may be amused to learn that 19th century banking still goes on in the UK. Of course finding a bank branch isn't so easy. Most have been sold off and converted into pubs.

And to think that everyone in Ghana does banking on their mobile phone...

Then a coffee with Nagina. We've solved all the world's problems. You can relax.

Meantime, the temperature had gone up to 18⁰. Not a cloud in the sky.

The Blip is the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Plenty of tourists even this early in the season.
