Knit and Natter

That's the official name for this club, so don't shoot the messenger. I dropped in to the White Horse at Mundon, Essex for lunch today. Its owned by a client. Owning a pub - how about that for a dream come true?

Every fortnight this group meets up to knit "fiddling favours" for people suffering from dementia who pick at fabric and their arms. These intricate knitted gloves are very good for these sufferers because they can fiddle with the different soft textures.

It seems a worthy cause and I reckon it justifies a Blip. The lunch was excellent but because I was driving I didnt sample the beer. Maybe next time.

I highly commend anyone who buys a pub that is threatening to close and then enjoys it as their local.
