White Iris Blooming

This will be our 4th day in a row of record temperatures, and my favorite white iris are blooming! 

We have broken temperatures everyday...the last warm spell like this was back in 1926...my Dad would have been one year old.  I know that he and his parents were then living in the garage of their house...while building the family home where they raised their family.  I imagine that spring of 1926, with record temperatures, it would have been very hot in that garage.  They didn't have things like "air conditioning" back then.
