Altogether lovely

We drove most of the day, through the Gorge and then in Washington state almost to the Idaho border. John needed to visit Pullman, I'm along for the ride. The most delightful discovery was our favorite Dallas Mountain Road area in absolutely stunning wild flower splendor. Apart from some alpine wildflower fields, I've never seen anything like it. To top it off, the area is inhabited by Western Meadowlarks, their melodious songs filling the air. We will stop there on the way back, maybe I will get a shot of a Meadowlark then. The main blip has the Columbia river in the background, the extras are more of the flower fields.
