Post Surgery: day one

Backblip: today was the first day post op and it's been a journey. First of all, pain meds are great!

Secondly, having to sit and watch all the other patients around you getting discharged is full of emotion. You're glad that they are getting to go home but at the same time it makes you feel incredibly lonely.

Being so far from Edinburgh and even further from my family back in Angus made me feel so isolated and lonely but K. has been by my side throughout as much as possible (even pushing the limits of visiting times) which has given me the strength to get through this - I just hope I get discharged tomo - fingers crossed!!
