Survived the Squirrels

Not many tulips survived last year so I planted some new ones, put them well down in the pots underneath chicken wire.  And they are coming up now!  What do you think?

Tulips soil creep darkly up
Through wire their saviour.
Tulips bloom and glow brightly.
