Laxey from all angles!

Well another full day. Up and out for a swift walk along the prom to the far end for the electric train this time! Full so in the outside car- keep all appendages in or the posts for the cables will get them, if the driver doesn't get you first!
Fabulous views across the countryside and past ' fairy corner station' .got to Laxey station and straight across the tracks to the mountain railway, 2 carriages into 1 nearly didn't go, but everyone got to know each other quite well in the shuffle for seats! Funny , friendly crew. We climbed the mountain, amazing views at the summit to Ireland, Scotland and the lakes. Back on board, feeling really should have walked back! Great views of the mountain road TT section. As leant across the doorway, got personal info from driver all the way back. Also saw Peregrine falcon at the side of the track.
Then quick milk shake stop on way to Laxey wheel, this is it! Amazing water wheel for mine. Interesting site, could climb to the top of the wheel, again great views. Woodland walk around the miners track, Physivic climbed trees, caved, went close to waterfall, did nature walk etc- real multi adventurer! Then to station for sandwich, swift half in pub with tram bar, then down to the sea. Lovely bay, nice glen and geocache find. Bus back to town to try to get to TT shop for a little memorabilia for some friends & kippers. Sorted photos before another good dinner. Then Manx pipers played, in Manx tartan, so couldn't miss that. X factor van outside, apparently auditions at next bar- we didn't go along! Got the room moving with a bit of dancing to ' the turn', a good musician able to improvise requests well. End of another action packed day, a few hoots of the castle in the bay to end .
