A Splash Of Colour

On what looked like was going to be another wet day there was this lovely dog rose - which was huge!

There was also the line of pegs which grabbed my attention when I was on my way to get the paper
Strange the things that you notice when looking for a Blip.

The Cygnet had yet another haircut this morning.
His hair grows at one hell of a rate (even quicker than mine falls out).
He is the 5th generation of the family that Jenny has cut hair for - and she refuses to use clippers on the Cygnets'.
She says that is 'lazy' hairdressing.
It also means that he looks smart and like a real little boy - not a short headed thug.
She is really quick (in and out in 10 minutes) and he actually enjoys it. I'm not sure if he would if he had the sound of clippers round his ears and he certainly wouldn't sit quietly - which he does now.

A spell was spent in the garden removing a couple of Elders, a honeysuckle and a clematis ... all self seeded.
I also removed some pond weed, reeds and oxyginating plants from the pond (obviously). The lily seems to like the fact that I removed the holly tree and that is gets more light .... there are loads more leaves this year and they are easily double the size they have been previously.
