Calm

We drove up the Toll Road - very scenic - out of Porlock which was long, narrow with hairpin bends, very high above the sea! Once at the top we re-joined the main road and soon came across a restaurant with lovely views across Exmoor. There we met some friends from our home village for lunch. We had an enjoyable time!
Afterwards I drove down Porlock Hill, famous for its steep descent! Apart from meeting a huge coach on a hairpin bend.....it was ok.
We went along to Porlock Weir, a quiet hamlet with a shingle beach and ancient cottages. It was pleasantly warm in the sun and yes, we did have a cup of tea in a gallery cafe!
