So the holy month of Ramadhan has started for Muslims all around the world, and I thought an image to signify this would be fitting for today. The arabic text in the lamp reads 'Allah'.

The muslim calendar is traditionally based on the lunar cycle and people will fast from sunrise to sunset during this month. Depending on which part of the hemisphere you're in, fasts can range from anything like 10-19 hrs in the summer! Much shorter in the winter of course :)
