Upper Rakaia River Bridge

I drove down to Peel Forest today, to stay with Horomaka & Mrs H. Super to catch up with them again and to see their new abode, high up in the trees. What a wonderful place to live and no wonder they're so happy there. It's an adventure to get there, having to cross a ford. It might be fairly benign at present, but I've seen it in flood, and it must take some courage to make a decision to live there. 
I drove from Woodend via the inland scenic route, and crossed the Upper Rakaia River at the gorge, via the old bridge in the image.
