Blake's Wood, Danbury

As I got out of the car, the scent from thousands of the blue flowers which was filling the air, met my senses in an instant. The temperature was still warm in the late afternoon, thanks to the strength of the sun.

As I walked along the woodland path, I saw a mother with her young son, Nikon in hand, taking pictures of him running in and out of the bluebells on this sunny afternoon.

Just a few brief minutes on the way home from work, gave me the outdoors fix I needed. Not long now for a healthy dose to come, in the form of the Jolly Boys Spring Outing...
