Wilful little bugger ...

Maisie continues to be an utter pain. We went to the park this morning - unfortunately her friends weren't gathered in the spot where she has a runaround, so we walked around the lake chatting to a few dog walkers as we went. I'd just put Maisie back on her lead - but obviously not firmly - as she ran off towards the lake - and that was that. Wet dog, refusing to listen to a word I shouted. I braced myself and walked away - but she didn't even notice. She kept getting out to roll in goose poo, then going back in.

All I could do was wait until some dogs wandered by because I knew she'd come out then. And she did.

All I can say in her favour is she did at least sit, uncomplaining, in the shower while I washed her.

In the evening we went for a walk where I once let her off the lead and she disappeared down into the river. She wasn't off lead today :\
