Limbering Up

I was in Birmingham for a work meeting today. Since my last visit a number of temporary willow sculptures have appeared to help get people into the Olympic mood. This one is in Victoria Square, indeed you can see the statue of Victoria and the impressive Council House behind that, and here is another, in Old Square.

I finally secured a couple of tickets for an Olympic event yesterday (football quarter finals at Old Trafford), although we still need to sort one or two family things before I can be sure that 7yo and I will be going. I'm sure we'll be following events closely on TV though, as we always do.
