Soaked in San Juan.

We were still ar sea this morning when I woke up as we were not due to get to Puerto Rico until 3. Once breakfast was eaten mom and I went to the $10 sale, while Stu and Dad waited in the pub. Gord Gem and Charlotte had an early breakfast so they came to meet us in the pub for a quiclient drink. We then headed onto the pool deck to watch the belly flop contest (can you believe Dad wouldn't enter). Stu then decided he wanted another go on the flo rider so we all went to watch him. He was brilliant and managed to stand up for ages, getting a round of aplause from the crowd (you've got to love Americans). We had our first lunch in the windjammer and the choice was amazing. We all ate too much but this was supposed to be our main meal for the day.
We then all got off the ship to explore San Juan. Unfortunately it had started to rain but as it wasn't too heavy we decided to have a walk round. The temptation of the shops was too much for Gem and Charlotte so Dad and Gord headed to a bar while the rest of us shopped (and Stu photographed random things). We then carried on seeing the sights but the rain got heavier and heavier. We took shelter in a bar (can you see a pattern occurring) hoping the rain would ease off but unfortunately it just got worse. We finally decided to head back to the ship getting absolutely soaked on the way.
As we were supposed to be in San Juan for the night we had no dinner reservation or plans, but had a lovely impromptu night. A pub quiz, dinner in American Icon and a silent disco. It was a first for a few of us and was enjoyed by everyone. Even some of the oldies on the ship were joining in. Although it wasn't as planned a lovely evening was had.
