Stripes.
Fabulous show last night followed by a very late but non the less delicious curry for 50. Grace had organised the event and therefore acted as MD in directing the right curry ordered to the right person in the style of an East End barrow boy! Well she does teach drama!
So this morning was a time to chill in the garden. It was sunny but cool but ideal for a bit of planting. They have recently had a garden makeover with new paving, walls, fences and beds and one stipulation Grace made was that there had to be a place for her magnificent hammock brought back from Mexico 10 years ago.
It was out for my benefit this morning and I chose this shot for the great stripes created by the strong sun through the trellis atop the wall casting shadows, as well as the stripes on the hammock.
It is huge and you lie across it, not along it, making it very stable and allowing more than one person at once to use it.
We then had a bit of fun in the sun before taking Grace across town to the theatre for the Matinée performance and saying our goodbyes.
(Will add a Flickr link later of our SW sojourn.)
PS the little purple primulas in the pot originate from my mother's garden and now grow in ours so we brought some down for the third generation to enjoy.
