Astragals

The wee house has its new 6x6 astragal windows in place, and here's the man to thank - Matt C, one of the famous Newhaven family of kippering fame. A great workman, and a total perfectionist. And also a nice bloke.
So, after a visit from SO, who discussed a bit of fencing, we squiddled about the place, picking up some roofing underlay for the attic and enjoying a filled roll and cup down at a workies cafe in Leith. And once back, who did call in but Rog & E, who'd been dining along in Leith as it was E's birthday. And we did sit out in the back garden enjoying a bit of sunshine, sheltered from the wind. Then a start on the attic.
And it being a Friday, there was a teatime pint along at the Tap. Two teatime pints actually. And much much later, the new season of Jools kicked off. Glad that all the favourites are still there, y'know the awkward interviews, the sprinkling of has beens; essential viewing. And so to bed.
