World Book Day

I took this book with me on my return trip from China to UK the last day of Dec. I started reading it on the No 2 subway from Shanghai Hongqiao Station to Pudong Airport Station, which takes about 2 hours in all, I was the only Chinese reading a book whereas the majority was playing their mobiles. There was one westerner-looking young man reading a magazine on the way, as well.
I enjoyed my 2-hour trip even without getting a seat.

The book was handed down from my grandpa, written by a late famous scholar (anthropologist) and politician born in the same county. So proud. His thoughts had great influence on the national opening up and development economically. 

You can probably get the idea when it was sold and how much. :-)
