Belvedere morning

A 5 o'clock start, ensured we got to the Belvedere by sunrise, but almost as soon as the sun rose, it disappeared behind clouds. Other photographers at the site packed up and left, but I insisted to the group that we sat it out. 20 minutes later, we were treated to the sun reappearing and giving us some spectasular light - even mist was provided courtesy of the local farmers who had lit bonfires early to burn off olive tree prunings. A perfect result! Then on to Pienza, one of my favourite towns, for a few hours.
