Somewhere back there is a man in a white tracksuit holding a fiery golden torch, but he is easy to miss. Sadly I think this is really the main point of the Olympic Torch Relay (tm).

The people of Redhill and Reigate enjoyed their part in what was actually a lovely, and quite rare, community coming together today. And so did I. I found that any misgivings I had were eased by signing this petition, demanding that the main beneficiaries pay their taxes (we're all in this together, after all).
