above Port Vendres

had a trip out with the local camera club today. We walked up to the 'tour de madeloc' , an old tower high up above Port Vendres. This is the view a little way down from the tower with some of the photo club members on the path. On the way down there was an old derelict building (? military) surrounded by fencing and barbed wire. The extra is a view from the outside but a couple of the group were braver and climbed in for a better look around. Afterwards went to a photo exhibition at the Chateau in Collioure.  Must have been some special event , maybe the opening, as free drinks and nibbles were laid on. Had to try the Banyuls wine as we'd been photographing the Banyuls vines in the afternoon. An enjoyable day even if I didn't know what was going on half the time!
