When the Meadows-to-Innocent semi-segregated facilities were opened I thought they'd make a good way of getting to the next PoP as a fambly-group, first heading along the prom, then the Hope Lane overpass then through to the Innocent so that most of the height gain was hidden by the zig-zag at St Mark's Place and in the Innocent tunnel. Leaving after breakfast, there would have been time to get there in plenty of time for some Meadows Playpark first, but swimming until half-tenon Saturdays knackered that idea. Despite a bit of tiredness in the morning I only had to walk with one in the bike seat and the other resting on the pedal with his bike on my back for the first three-quarters of a mile, after which he propelled himself as far as half-way up the path round the bottom of the crags before running out of steam. It was probably just about quicker to push up the steeper slope to St Leonard's Bank than go to the end and round the roundabouts. After eventually getting to the path at Hermit's Croft we could roll at normal speed again and eventually had enough time for a miniature pork pie each in the queue before the roll-off.
