Bike build

M came home yesterday to work on his bike.
So Saturday was spent applying coats of lacquer.
This morning, we did a few bits before I went off to play in the vets' last home game. M went for a 10 mile run in prep for the Hackney 1/2 marathon in a couple of weeks. He knocked out the miles at around 7:30. Not bad! And, as he was using my Garmin, I think that this counts as one of my runs!
The bike went well. I had been slightly trepidatious about the bottom bracket and the headset. The former went in easily and the latter took a bit of persuading - with a hammer and block of wood after our attempts to wind it in with a threaded rod came to naught.
Unfortunately, M's comprehensive parts ordering hadn't included a hanger for the rear derailleur so we had to leave a bit for next time.
The colour looks good though!
