Magnetic Island

Today we boarded the ferry over to Magnetic Island for 2 nights. The Island is the definition of tropical: rainforest and palm trees lead down to the bright turquoise sea and wildlife is abundant with colourful parrots, koala bears and possums roaming the landscape. The air is humid and filled with the noise of loud birds! When we arrived at our hostel we got to feed a whole family of rainbow coloured parrots (lorikeets), which were landing all over us. We finished the day by watching the most beautiful sunset over the beach at Horseshoe Bay.
