Yellow dung fly
You'd change your name wouldn't you? dung fly......
Not a pleasant chap (or chapess). As well as breeding in dung (the larvae feed on it), the adults are predatory and feed on other flies that come to the dung to feed.
I did actually have a female web spider with her egg ball ready to blip but this guy appeared on the white lavender so I took him instead.
Gardened all day today - so I can sit in the sun for the next 2 days. hahahahaha..........

Oh - and i'm all crumbled out. I've had rhubarb & almond crumble (see yesterday) for 3 meals now and while it is very nice there's a limit ...
