Books, cake and a good old natter!!

Met up at a friend’s house in Bath this afternoon for my next book group get-together. This time the verdict was unanimous, we all really enjoyed our latest book, and would thoroughly recommend it! Don’t let the title put you off, the story actually has very little to do with funerals. Set in South Wales in 1924, it’s a gentle story that follows the thoughts and happenings of Wilfred Price who accidentally proposes to a girl he barely knows… Some of the group thought that it would be a “light, fluffy” story, but the book has hidden, darker issues, without being an uncomfortable read. I couldn’t put it down!
