In Which the Woods Go Green

It was just about a perfect spring day. In the shade, you needed a light jacket. In the sun, it was comfy without one. My husband and I decided to spend the afternoon hiking at Bear Run, not far from Lamar, as we hadn't been there since before winter.

We parked in the parking lot by the road and hiked up the hill into the woods, and this view was pretty typical of our walk. Lots of green moss in and along the creek, but just the start of green leaves on the trees. I suspect that once we get the next rain or two, everything will be just about ready to pop. Then it'll be full green, green, green!
