30 years ago I was living in England, nr Blackpool.  I was also in the early stages of pregnancy.   30 years ago today the nuclear plant at Chernobyl  in the Ukraine exploded.   Nobody knew where the cloud would drift, but at the time it was heading towards me.  I can assure you that it was very worrying at the time.  My baby was fine,  but many children were not.   I understand that the area around the plant is still uninhabitable.
