EVENING SHADOWS:

I'm late putting my blip up, but I'm just home after a day out at the Blue Mountain Nursery in Tapanui, Southland, where I went specifically to see a selection of maples in their Autumn colours. Peter drove me down & it was just magical - just over 2 hours - with kaleidoscopic views the entire way. Cromwell, Clyde, & Roxburgh, all dressed in their brightest bunting......I'd need to brush up on my adjectives to try & convey the gold rush that hit me with those majestic poplars mile after mile. Oh beautiful Central Otago ! And then the wonderous green of the Southland province....sun when we left but rain in Tapanui ! Home tired & weary & about to have a Jimmy's Pie !
